Nikon rumors: Nikon acquired all the Samsung NX technology?

Breaking news: Nikon acquired all the Samsung NX technology?

As mentioned by thenewcamera.com, there was a shocking story; in a recent interview published at amateur photographer, Samsung officially denied the Sellout news. This acquisition would be strong evidence of increasingly serious Nikon to develop its mirrorless camera. If this be true, either Panasonic or Olympus is the pioneer of this type of camera or MFT camera will have strong competitors. Does Canon have to worry about this surprising news?

According to the latest rumors floating over the web Nikon acquired Samsung NX system cameras/ technology. The deal will help Nikon to announce its own mirroress sensor based cameras by using all the technologies of Samsung NX series camera. Meanwhile, mirrorlessrumors.com also mentioned that It is yet unclear if Nikon will keep the NX mount or use an own new mount. This online rumor also wrote that the “resources” we are talking about also include Samsung sensor tech, video tech and processor engine.

If the news is true than Nikon will soon announce its mirrorless line-up with high-end specification similar to Samsung NX1 / NX500 camera. But at the moment we are not sure that upcoming Nikon mirrorless system will going to use existing FX/DX lenses or they will use Samsung NX lenses tech for the upcoming cameras.

Rumors about this acquisition has led to the pros and cons in a forum. The group that pro to this news saying their approval as described below:

- No need to start from scratch. Already existing lens and camera environment (If Nikon decides to keep the NX mount)
- Nikon acquires important video competence. Something they didn't have before.
- Nikon gets brand new sensors from Samsung. No need to wait in line for Sony sensors.
- Nikon suddenly has all necessary parts to launch their own designed Nikon mirrorless PRO camera.

While some people who cons too eager to express their opinion as mentioned below:

- Is Samsung a reliable long term partner for photography tech? It's an electronic company giant. Ready to ditch that partnership if they change their mind on goals and strategies.
- Can Samsung deliver future High Quality tech like 8K recording?

Regardless of the pros and cons, the Nikon has a history and experience longer in the world of photography, so Nikon is not difficult technically to develop a mirrorless camera, where there will be a unique blend of Nikon technologies with creativity or innovation that has been developed by Samsung. The photographers or users liked mirrorless camera will be benefited by this acquisition, because they will get a new camera with the latest innovation and creativity.

Loyal users of Nikon and Samsung certainly hope, that the acquisition of this technology could provide a new surprise with a mirrorless camera that is better than the other competitors, of course with a more friendly price. If Nikon can meet their expectations, then Nikon will win the competition, especially in the field of mirrorless camera or MFT (Micro Four Third) photography system.

I am very curious about the design, technology and features of mirrorless cameras which will be launched as a result of this acquisition. We are waiting for official news from Nikon's office. Meanwhile, we do not need to bother with this problem. Let's go hunting photos to Bali or Kenya with a Nikon camera or other cameras that you have now. Do not worry. Be happy.
